I am a 43 year old man (mexican). My wife and I moved to Panamá about 18 months ago due to our work, we are sales representatives for a mexican hotel chain. I learn sailing in 1989, then when to Europe to sail with one of my cousins who by the time owned a 44', 1973 Nautor Swan sloop, she was a beauty. When I came back (across the atlantic) to mexico in 1992 I was hire to be the boat skipper of a 48' swan in Cancun, the same year I started a sailing school with 5 flying terns. 1993 Got my FAA flight certificate, single engine, instrument rating in the USA. 1994 I Brought a J24 from Tampa FL. to Cancun, to be delivered to the owner. 1995 different people and companies asked me to bring power batches from the USA to Cancun 1997 Manager of Nautical Activities for "Puerto Isla Mujeres" Resort and Marina. In charge of twelve power boats of different sorts, from 38 to 60 feet. 2003 Got married....Retired from the ocean ... :( |
Ever since I got in to Panama, wanted to start a sailing school, looked at different places that could have the right environment for the purpose, but honestly, had no idea where to start. When I saw the little optimist in the paper, it immediately call my attention, and here we are so far. I usually have a lot of free time, how ever right now I am in Costa Rica for work and will be back in Panama on Wednesday, hopefully if I didn't bored you to death with this email we could meet. |
